Students met with their lit circle groups, and worked through their first question set.
***NB - A few students were not prepared to today's discussion groups - this lets the group discussion down, but also impacts the learning of those who were not prepared. Staying on top of the reading is critical to this unit.
****NB - Please stick to the outlined schedule, so that conversations can stay on track (without spoilers or statements of: "Well, if you'd read A/B/C/D, you'd know..."
Students should add to their answers (as needed) prior to tomorrow's class - they will be permitted to have their question sheets with them during their first timed write tomorrow. At the end of tomorrow's class, they will hand in their question sets, and put their writing in their folders.
On Monday, we will discuss the core assignments for the unit in greater depth, but lit circle groups may want to set up Teams chats, so that they can connect over the weekend about research topics/inquiry questions etc.
